Educational

Description from back of book: Glorified (and Exalted) be He (Allah) Who took His slave (Muhammad salla Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam) for a journey by night from Al-Masjid-al-Haram to the farthest mosque (in Jerusalem), the neighborhood whereof We have blessed, in order that We might show him (Muhammad salla Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam) of Our Ayat. Verily, He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer. [Surah al-Isra 17:1] The Night Journey and Ascension "are two incidents from the greatest incidents in the noble history of Muhammad (salla Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam)." However the mode of these incidents has been debated over the years: Did they occur in a dream? Was his (salla Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam) soul removed and taken to the heavens while his body remained on earth? Or did he ascend in his whole form (body and soul)? Shaykh Ahmad Shakir puts this issue to rest with a thorough review and explanation of the ahadith which have been transmitted regarding al-Isra wa-al-Mi'raj; the different transmissions and the errors in them; and a refutation of those who discount these miraculous occurances as unscientific and therefore untrue.

Be Salafee Upon the Path
Educational
“It is not at all an innovation to refer to Ahlus-Sunnah as the Salafiyyoon. Rather, the legislative usage of ‘as-Salaf’ corresponds completely with the legislative usage of ‘Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaa’ah.’ That is ascertained by contemplating upon the consensus of all of the linguists regarding the Companions. For they (the Companions) are the Salaf and they are Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaa’ah. So just as it is correct for us to say: “Sunnee,” as an ascription to Ahlus-Sunnah, it is also correct for us to say:“Salafee,” as an ascription to the Salaf; there is no difference.” A hot topic amongst Muslims today, ‘What is Salafiyyah?’ ‘Who are the Salafees?’ Shaykh ‘Abdus-Salaam as-Suhaymee elucidates this often misunderstood topic. The author begins by explaining the linguistic and legislative meaning of as-Sunnah, listing and clarifying the various legislative names for Ahlus-Sunnah. The legislative meaning of ‘as-Salaf’ is expounded upon, and who is considered to be from the Salafus-Saalih is clearly explained. He clarifies why one should openly manifest themadh-hab of the Salafus-Saalih, name oneself with as-Salafiyyah, and brings some of the evidences of why it is obligatory to follow and cling to this noble madh-hab. Other topics explained includes, the manhaj of the Salafus-Saalih in ‘aqeedah in contrast to the manhaj of the People of Desires. He concludes with a brief explanation of the position of the Salafus-Saalih in refuting the innovators and provides guidance on how Ahlus-Sunnah should deal with the People of Desires.

Essential Questions & Answers on the Salafee Methodology
Educational
In this time of political turmoil and social upheavals, many sects claim to follow the way of the Salaf, yet their actions and what they call to are contrary to what the Salaf were upon. They entice the people with rhetoric, calling them to misguidance, leading them to the Hellfire. Thus it is imperative that the Muslim arms himself with knowledge, knowledge of what Salafiyyah is and the ability to recognise who the true Salafees really are. Shaykh Saalih al-Fowzaan clarifies this subject by answering 64 questions, some dealing with contemporary issues that affect the Muslims today and others emphasizing the distinguishing traits of Salafiyyah. Although many of the questions deal with contemporary matters, the Shaykh answers them by referring back to the Book, the Sunnah and the way of the Salaf, reminding the reader of the statement of the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam): "Upon you is to keep to my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly-guided Caliphs, hold tightly to that, and clamp down on that tightly with your back molar teeth.

Such is Allaah, your Lord! Laa ilaaha illaa Huwa [None has the right to be worshipped but He], the Creator of all things. So worship Him [alone], and he is the Wakeel [Trustee, Disposer of Affairs or Guardian]over all things.[Sooratul-An’aam, 6:102]

This monumental, oft-repeated statement, “Laa Ilaaha Ill-Allaah,” in its various forms, is the statement of tawheed which all the Prophets and Messengers were sent to instruct the people with. The Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Give glad tiding to the people that whosoever says, ‘None has the right to be worshipped except Allaah alone, without any partners,’ Paradise becomes obligatory for him.” But what does this statement actually mean, and how does knowing and understanding its implications benefit the Believer?

Shaykh Muhammad bin ‘Abdil-Wahhaab al-Wassaabee answers this question by illuminating the reality of saying “Laa Ilaaha ill-Allaah.” He presents a terse, yet rich explanation of this statement, its pillars and its conditions and warns of what nullifies it. He also indicates where this statement appears in the Noble Qur’an and the various ahaadeeth attesting to its importance.

It is imperative that every Muslim, male or female, young or old, to not only reaffirm that Laa Ilaaha Ill-Allaah, but understand its meaning and its implications.

The Correct Creed that Every Muslim Must Know
Creed

“Indeed, the belief of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaa’ah is the religion of truth that every Muslim is obligated to believe in. For it is the belief of the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) and his noble Companions (radhiyyallaahu ‘anhum). So whoever opposes them in that has set himself up for the anger of Allaah and His extreme punishment. The Prophet (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said about the seventy-three sects that shall appear in his Ummah, “All of them are in the Fire except one, and they are the Jamaa’ah.”

Shaykh ‘Abdus-Salaam Ibn Burjiss expounds on a subject which is vitally important to every Muslim—adopting the correct creed. He mentions the beliefs of Ahlus-Sunnah, the Saved Sect, the Victorious group that the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) spoke about in numerous ahaadeeth, and offers a general explanation of each.

Creed

"The creed of ash-Shaafi’ee - may Allaah be pleased with him - and the creed of the Salaf of the Ummah, like Maalik, ath-Thawree, al-Awzaa’ee, Ibnul-Mubaarak (d.181H), Ahmad Ibn Hanbal, and Is-haaq Ibn Raahawayh (d.238H) is the creed of the scholars whom they followed like Fudhayl Ibn ’Iyaadh (d.187H), Aboo Sulaymaan ad-Daaraanee, Sahl Ibn Sa’d at-Tustaree (d.283H), and others. There was no disagreement between these imaams and their likes over the principles of the Religion…" - Shaykh al-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah

REVISED 2nd EDITION

Enlightening clarification from the four imaams themselves - from their own words - about the correct position on vital issues of creed, such as tawheed, eemaan, and qadar, as well as the position of Ahlus-Sunnah on theological rhetoric and the honor and respect due to the Companions of the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alayhe wa sallam)…

It is sincerely hoped that all Muslims who claim adherence to the teachings of these great imaams - may Allaah have Mercy on them - will truly embrace the most important aspect of their teachings: the correct beliefs they understood from the texts of the Book and the Sunnah based on the understanding of the Companions and their followers.

The Islamic Creed for Children
Children

Allaah has warned the believers

"O you who believe! Ward off from yourselves and your families a Fire [Hell] whose fuel is men and stones, over which are [appointed] angels stern [and] severe, who disobey not [from executing] the Commands they receive from Allaah, but do that which they are commanded. "
[Sooratut-Tahreem, 66:6]

And what better way to keep our children safe from the hellfire than to cultivate them, right from the start, upon the ‘aqeedah of the Salaf.
This very important book is designed for children ages 5-12. The author takes a fatherly approach, addressing the children as if they were right in front of him. He explains each topic with clear, simple language, engaging the young reader from beginning to end, with the hope that “a righteous generation is brought up upon the Book and the Sunnah, with the understanding of the Salaf of the Ummah.” Each chapter is followed by a series of added questions that tests the reader’s understanding and reinforces the lessons taught.

Some of the lessons taught include:

What is Tawheed?
The meaning of Islam, Eemaan and Ihsaan
Allaah is above the Magnificent Throne
The Believers will see Allaah in paradise
Who are the Jews and Christians?

Understanding Your Testimony of Faith: Seven Essential Points of Understanding
Creed
This highly significant book, authored by the great scholar, Shaykh Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab is explained by Shaykh Muhammad Aman al-Jami. The explainer lists the seven essential components of "La ilaha illallah" (There is none worthy of worship except Allah) and meticulously clarifies each one, giving the reader an in-depth understanding of this monumental utterance. In order to truly adopt the pure creed of Islam based on the Qur'an and Sunnah, as understood by the Companions who witnessed the Revelation and comprehended its intended meanings and relative contexts, it is an absolute must for us to turn to recognized Salafi scholars who follow this pristine methodology, the likes of the author of this book and its explainer (may Allah have mercy on them both). A person enters the beautiful religion of Islam with an open testimony, declaring that none has the right to receive any form of worship other than Allah — "La ilaha illallah" — while he affirms that Muḥammad (may Allah raise his rank and grant him peace) was His Messenger in truth. This is not a mere ritualistic utterance, but rather a sacred covenant and a detailed contract which needs to be understood clearly and fulfilled through a lifelong commitment. Many utter it verbally but fail to understand it; many of those who understand it, fail to fulfil it. In the midst of mass neglect of this reality and the spread of false teachings attributed to Islam, especially in the West, we turn to our senior, most recognized scholars and seek out knowledge-based explanations of this contract and its crucial stipulations through which our success in the Hereafter hangs in the balance. This publication — by the permission of Allah — can help Muslims to accomplish this.
