The Level 1 Islamic Studies book from Weekend Learning is for 5-7 year old children who can read short sentences and write short phrases. Ideally, the book is for the 1st-grade students. This is their first year in a formal Islamic class.

All lessons in this book are thematically presented in distinct units. There are total of 6 units and 28 chapters in the book. The Level 1 book introduces students to the fundamentals of Islam. These students have very little or no knowledge about Allah, Islam, the Qur’an, and the Messenger. The lessons in this book attempt to walk students through the basics of Islam. First Steps in Arabic Grammar Part One, is a grammar manual textbook, written and field tested by two South African professors of Arabic. It is written in simple language and rules of grammar gradually explained in a lucid language so that both young students and adult learners can understand and follow it without much difficulty. This book is a part of IQRA's Program of Arabic Studies, but it can be followed as an independent textbook an Arabic grammar for junior high, high school, college students and adults. This revised edition is Ideally for 7-8-year old, second or third grade students. The children are in their second or third year in a formal Islamic class. This book builds on the knowledge base of the Level 1 book, with an additional emphasis while introducing the basics of Islam.

All lessons in this book are thematically presented in distinct units. Topics in the Level 4 book are diverse and are presented in greater detail. Learning about Allah remains an important focus of the entire series, as well as the life of Nabi Muhammad (S). The unit on how Islam changed Arabia takes a closer look at the life of Nabi Muhammad before and after receiving divine revelations. With the ritual duties becoming obligatory to students in this age group, several topics on the Fiqh of sal?t are introduced.  The lives of the four Khalifas are covered in greater detail in order to explain their contributions to Islam. Several moral-building lessons are also included.

The Islamic Studies Level Kindergarten book is intended for children ages 4–5. Today, Kindergarten is like the new “first” grade—where children learn a lot but also have fun. The goal of kindergarten is to encourage and build good feelings about school and learning. Students begin with a very basic curriculum. The book emphasizes the most important academic activity—developing literacy through reading and writing.    

Islamic Studies for Kindergarten begins by building familiarity with key written and spoken words.  The objective is to introduce the basic ideas of Islam through various activities—writing, coloring, cutting, gluing,  sorting, listening, singing, and sometimes simply playing. 

The Gateway to Arabic Handwriting Book has been written as part of theGateway to Arabic series with students who want to practice their handwriting in mind. This text gives students the opportunity to learn, practice, and acquire proficiency in a fluent style of Arabic handwriting. It is recommended that students should already have completed at least Book One of the Gateway Series and be familiar with the Arabic alphabet before embarking upon this book. Although a number of handwriting styles are used in the Middle East, the style taught in this book, namely ruq'ah, is the most widespread and the easiest to learn.

Compared to the printed style of Arabic, which is termed naskh, ruq'ah offers the advantage of being much quicker to write. The book has been organized so that identical naskh and ruq'ah texts appear on facing pages for ease of comparison and contrast. The first section sets out the letters of the Arabic alphabet in all their forms: initial, medial, final, and isolate. The precise direction and sequence of pen movements for each letter have been clearly indicated through the use of numbered arrows. Having completed the presentation of the alphabet in all its forms, the book then provides the student with the chance to practice copying complete words and phrases, most of which would already be familiar to the Muslim student. A further opportunity for the reinforcement of handwriting skills is given through the copying of selective ayaat (verses of the Qur'an). A translation of these verses is included on the page on which they appear.
