THE DIFFERENCES OF THE IMAMS
English

If the Imams of the four schools [madhahib] established all of their rulings from the Qur an and the Sunna, why have they differed on so many points? How can two authentic narrations from the Messenger of Allah appear to contradict one another? When is it acceptable for Muslims to differ over religious matters? What did the Messenger mean when he said, The differences of my Umma are a source of mercy? Using examples from the Messenger of Allah, his Companions, and their Followers, The Differences of the Imams answers these puzzling questions in a thorough and concise manner. In a clear and lucid style, the author illustrates the various ways in which different narrations seem to contradict one another and how the Companions and the Imams of jurisprudence have reconciled these apparent differences. This work is an excellent resource for anyone seeking to better understand some of the deeper issues of hadith and jurisprudence: how these two disciplines come together to form the basis of Islamic law [Shari'a], why it is necessary to follow a school of Islamic law, and what the basic principles of hadith scholarship are.

The Divine Reports (Mishkat al-Anwar)
Books

The Divine Reports is a translation of Mishkāt al-Anwār. It is a profound compilation of sacred hadiths (aḥādīth qudsiyya) gathered and transmitted by the celebrated Andalusian mystic and scholar, Ibn al-ʿArabī (1165–1240 CE), also known as The Greatest Master (al-Shaykh al-Akbar). This work presents over one hundred sayings attributed directly to Allah, conveyed through the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. These sayings are revered in the Islamic tradition for their spiritual depth, conveying divine speech that is distinct from the Qur'an yet illuminated by its authority.

The book is divided into three main sections:

  1. Hadiths with full chains of transmission (isnād) ending directly with Allah.
  2. Hadiths without isnād but nonetheless traced back to divine address.
  3. Additional sacred sayings that focus on divine mercy, judgment, and spiritual insight.

Themes throughout include Allah’s mercy, justice, provision, divine presence, and the intimate relationship between the Creator and His servants. Many hadiths emphasize the transformative power of remembrance (dhikr), love for others for the sake of Allah, sincerity, and contentment with divine decree.

The compilation also explores eschatological realities, including paradise, divine judgment, and intercession. Ibn al-ʿArabī compiled these hadiths partly inspired by the Prophetic narration that promises divine favor to those who preserve and share forty hadiths for the benefit of the ummah.

This English-Arabic edition, carefully translated and presented, makes accessible one of the most spiritually potent compilations in the Islamic tradition, reflecting the inner lights of divine address.

About Ibn al-ʿArabī

Born in Murcia, Spain, he studied under leading scholars and spiritual masters across al-Andalus and North Africa. His travels took him to Makkah, Anatolia, and finally Damascus, where he taught and wrote extensively. Ibn al-ʿArabī authored over 300 works, including Fuṣūṣ al-Ḥikam and al-Futūḥāt al-Makkiyya, which explored metaphysics, divine love, and spiritual realities. He mentored Ṣadr al-Dīn al-Qūnawī and influenced generations of thinkers. His legacy continues to shape Islamic thought, spirituality, and philosophy to this day.

The Epistle of Admonition: Advice to a Beloved One
Book

This short work is a translation of Imam al-Ghazali's al-Risala al-Waziyya, a concise personal note to a beloved brother and scholar who sought his advice. The Epistle of Admonition - as translated by Ahmad Shaist Khan - unveils al-Ghazali's sincere counsel not just to a beloved brother, but himself too.

The Imam writes:

"I warned my lower self (nafs) of their (lessons), which it believed in and accepted, verbally as well as intellectually. However, in practice it rejected their [warning]. So I said to it, 'Do you not believe that the Qur'an is a verbal admonition and a sincere counsellor? After all, it is the revealed word of Allah that can never be proven false from any angle.' It replied in the affirmative."

This edition includes al-Ghazali's Arabic text as well as a new English translation. This arrangement allows the English-speaking reader to get a taste of the author's unique style, while students of Arabic may peruse the Imam's masterful Arabic prose alongside this elegant English rendition.

The Explanation of al-'Aqeedah al-Waasitiyyah
Creed

Al-'Aqeedah al-Waasitiyyah (The Creed of Wasit) is a foundational Islamic text by Imam Ibn Taymiyyah detailing the pure creed of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah, especially regarding Allah's Names and Attributes (Asma wa Sifat), emphasizing affirmation without distortion (tahrif), negation (ta'til), or likeness (tamtheel), and affirming Allah's uniqueness and perfection, with explanations by scholars like Ibn Baaz and Ibn Uthaymeen making it accessible. The explanations clarify core beliefs in Allah's oneness, His attributes (like Face, Hands, Eyes) as befitting His majesty, the pillars of faith (angels, books, messengers, etc.), and refute deviant doctrines, providing a balanced path for Muslims.

The Explanation of The Six Principles
Educational

This is the first principle; doing actions sincerely for Allah the Blessed and Exalted, and warning and distancing oneself from Shirk. This is the principle which the Shaykh of Islam began with, may Allah have mercy upon him. This is the core of the foundation, the greatest of them, and the most beneficial of them without exception; making the actions sincerely for Allah, and warning against Shirk. Making all actions sincere for Allah means: the worship of the person, and their obedience, to include prayer, Zakat, sacrificing, hope, fear, vowing, reliance, seeking help and other than that, must be sincerely for Allah the Blessed and Exalted. The (action which is) sincere (ِِAl-Khaalis) is that which is pure and untainted; not containing impurity. It does not contain the impurity of Shirk, or the impurity of showing off or trying to be heard of, rather the person only seeks by his actions the Face of Allah the Blessed and Exalted. When he supplicates, he makes his Dua’a sincerely for Allah. When he relies, purifies his reliance only relying upon Allah, when he fears he purifies his fear, only fearing Allah. He performs all of his worship for Allah the Blessed and Exalted. He does not ask from other than Allah, he only seeks aid from Allah, he only puts his trust in Allah, and he entrust all of his affairs to Allah the Blessed and Exalted. The (action which is) sincere is that which is pure and untainted. And Allah the Blessed and Exalted only accepts actions if they are done sincerely for His Face, in accordance with the Sunnah of His prophet, peace be upon him. The Exalted said:And they were not commanded except to worship Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion. (Soorah Al-Bayyinah 98 :5)Surely, the religion (i.e. the worship and the obedience) is for Allah only. (Soorah Az-Zumar 39:3)And He said:Verily, Allah forgives not that partners should be set up with him in worship, but He forgives except that (anything else) to whom He pleases (Soorah An Nisa 4:48)And the prophet peace be upon him said:Allah the Blessed and Exalted said: I am so self-sufficient that I am in no need of having an associate. Thus he who does an action for someone else’s sake as well as Mine, I will have that action renounced by Me to him whom he associated with Me. Here is an issue which needs attention and it is: Regardless of our level of knowledge and regardless of our level of obedience and worship it is upon us—O slaves of Allah—to enjoin one other with the Tawheed of Allah the Blessed and Exalted often; and to always warn ourselves from falling into Shirk, its major forms and its minor forms. From the proofs of that is the statement of Allah the Blessed and Exalted about the Imam of the monotheist, Ibrahim Al Khaleel, peace be upon him. He said in his Dua’a:And keep me and my sons away from worshipping idols. (Soorah Ibrahim 14:35)And he is a prophet, and his sons Ismael and Ishaq are prophets, and yet he makes this great Dua’a.

Majority of the creation do not understand these principles [of shirk]; because of that these principles obscure are for them. Consequently they end up worshipping graves, those whom inhabit those graves, the 'Awliyaah of Allah, worshipping trees and stones beside Allah, while they think that they are upon something due on their level of ignorance of the true meaning of Tawheed and the reality of Shirk (Polytheism). The author of these principles is Shaykh- ul-Imam Muhammad bin Abdil-Wahhab, may Allah have mercy upon him; He was the reviver of what was obliterated and wiped out from the Muslim world in this Arabian Peninsula in the second half of the twelve century. He passed away in the year 1206 after hijrah.

The Fatawa Regarding The Gawth, Qutb, Abdal And Awtad
English
This text is among the remnants os Shaykh-ul-Islam IBN TAYMIYAH that are among his handwritings which are being published for the first time in seven centuries; it deals with the topic of the Qutb, the Abdal and the Awtad, a topic that is widespread among Sufis and Laymen ever since the fourth century due to influence of some foreign cultures spread among the Islamic society, and based on some false Ahadith fabricated upon the Prophet (PBUH). Certainly, this doctrine had some negative effects upon the Islamic society, as a lot of people attached themselves to the Ghawth, Qutb , Abdal and Awtad, and they started to think when a hardship affects the inhabitants of the earth, the inferior ( in these level of saints ) would raise this matter to the superior, until it reaches the ghawth, and he does not raise his eyes except that this hard ship is removed; some of them even claimed that the assistance to the inhabitants of the earth, including the angels , birds and fishes, comes from the direction, all good is diffused to entire the creation through his intermediary, that he confers kingship and the friendship (Wilayah) of Allah to whomever he wills, that he takes away from whomever he wants , and many other false claims that attribute to the Qutb and Ghawth some aspects of divinity and lordship, and this is among the greatest of lies, impossibilities, polytheism, misguidance and heresy. Considering the danger of this doctrine and the harm caused by its spread and propagation to the creed of the laymen and the elite, some scholars stood debate this doctrine and refuse it, explaining what it contains from opposition to reason and the Shari.

The Five Maxims, The Four Principles, Ten Things which Breach Islam, The Four Principles Differentiating the Muslim from the Polytheist and Succinct Counsel.

This is an important collection of writings by Shaykh Muhammad ibn `Abdu’l- Wahhab all dealing with essential components of Muslim belief and identity. The book is an invaluable addition to the Muslim bookshelf.

The first is the outstanding work, Masa’il al-Jahiliyyah in which the author lists 128 characteristics, current amongst the people of the Time of Ignorance, which were opposed by the Messenger of Allah , all of them essential learning for any Muslim. The goal is to purge contemporary Muslim society from any such traits that may linger on and to direct them back to the guidance of the

Messenger of Allah in its pristine purity. The treatise is written in simple, accessible language and is marked by a heavy reliance on Qur’anic verses which lends it to easy reading. Relevant as it was then, it remains relevant today and its importance cannot be underestimated. The Arabic text of this work has also been included.

The second, Nawaqid al-Islam is an article listing ten things which breach a person’s profession of Islam, incorporated here so that the Muslim can do his utmost to avoid them.

The third is the monograph, al-Qawa`id al-Khams in which the author explains five fundamental components of the Messenger’s call.

The fourth is the famous treatise, al-Qawa`id al-Arba` in which the author expounds on the reality of Tawhid and shirk through explaining four principles which will save a person from the trap of polytheism in all of its many forms. The author wrote various versions of this treatise in his life and three such versions have been incorporated here.

The last is a counsel or advice given by the author directed to all Muslims.
