The Jinn (Demons)

Ibn Taymiyyah’s essay on the Jinn, often translated from Majmu' al-Fatawa (Vol. 19), describes them as a distinct creation made of fire, existing in a parallel world, capable of influencing human behavior through possession, whispers, and illusions. He highlights their tendency toward ignorance, deceit, and oppression, often acting as devils (shayatin) to misguide humans, yet notes they are subject to Islamic law.
